WIPP Environmental Monitoring Project

Results of Recent Analyses

Each year the Carlsbad Environmental Monitoring & Research Center (CEMRC) issues a report in February that summarizes the results of sampling and analyses completed through September of the previous year for the WIPP Environmental Monitoring (EM) project. Updates of new data from the WIPP EM are also generated and posted on the CEMRC web site throughout the year, as analyses are completed. For example the FAS Lane is updated weekly with the results from air sampling in the WIPP exhaust shaft. The chart below shows the schedule for sampling and posting of other recent analytical results. After each annual report is issued in February for the preceding October-September period, the separate data tables for that period are moved out of Recent Data and combined into Background Tables referenced in the report. A brief summary for each area of environmental sampling may be accessed by selecting the parameter name (i.e. aerosol inorganics). Recent Data tables that have been posted may be accessed by clicking on the table link in the right-most column of the chart.
