Process, coordinate, and maintain CEMRC quality assurance program, training and document control records. Includes database maintenance and tracking of individual procedure and training files. Performs internal audits for each area ensuring that scientific and administrative personnel are performing their duties in accordance with the established CEMRC Quality Assurance Program (QAP). Acts as a liaison between NMSU/CEMRC and the various granting agencies that fund CEMRC activities and coordinates annual audits of the CEMRC QAP with external auditors. Serves as the unit’s human resource liaison with respect to personnel recruitment, selection, and retention efforts. Lastly, will assist the CEMRC director by serving as a Banner originator for the procurement of supplies and equipment for the center; assisting with financial and budgeting matters including but not limited to procurement, monthly reconciliation of expenses, and review of monthly accounts payable/receivable activities.
The position will assist the Director in strategic operational planning for the CEMRC. Administrative liaison between NMSU main campus and CEMRC. Perform major accounting transactions for multiple grants, contracts and cooperative agreements from multiple funding agencies and other entities; ensure budget and expenditure compliance with federal accounting standards; prepare and analyze reports for accuracy; maintain CEMRC’s internal cost-tracking system; provide reporting requirement information and budget analyses for the Director and principal investigators for multiple funded projects; develop contracts for external technical consulting services; develop and maintain formal project files for new contracts and grants and job-related duties as assigned.
