Anuj Kumar, PhD - Research Scientist/Manager; Manages the environmental chemistry and organic chemistry departments. Oversees the QA/QC process within both groups to maintain compliance with written Quality Assurance Plan requirements; develops standard operating procedures for collecting, processing, analyzing, and tracking environmental samples; develops improved methodologies for the determination of chemical components; oversees the cleaning and certification of sample containers; performs and supervises analysis of air samples using gas chromatography with mass spectrometric (GC-MS) and thermal conductivity detection (GC-TCD) techniques; oversees the determination of heavy metals and anions in environmental samples using inductively coupled plasma - mass spectrometer (ICP-MS) and ion chromatograph (IC); perform computer-based data interpretation and analysis.

Praveen Srirama, PhD - Assistant Scientist: Organic Chemistry;/b> Acts as a project leader and directs the collection, processes, and assists in the compilation and verification of research data, samples, and/or specimens, following strict protocol and detailed instructions; performs or assists with the execution of routine research protocol, such as interviewing, testing, and/or scientific procedures. Uses specialized analytical equipment, instrumentation, and/or statistical software, as specifically assigned, to assist with routine data analysis and Interpretation, as appropriate to the position. Assists in the setup, operation, and maintenance of research equipment, instrumentation, and/or facilities, as specifically instructed. May travel to field research sites or other locations to collect and record data and/or samples, as appropriate to established study objectives and protocols. Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.

Adrienne Chancellor - Associate Research Scientist: Environmental Chemistry; Performs chemical analyses using established analytical, experimental, and investigative methods, develops and modifies lab procedures and techniques for analysis of environmental samples, and for the performance of experiments for research projects; performs data calculations and data reduction; assist in preparation and publication of reports and manuscripts containing results of analytical efforts.
JD Krause - Laboratory Assistant: Environmental Chemistry; Performs routine laboratory tasks;driving to WIPP site; collects aerosol, soil, drinking water, surface water, and sediment samples; processes samples per procedures; performs gravimetric analysis; interacts with other monitoring agencies, included NMED and DOE;operates, calibrates, and maintains laboratory equipment, field sampling equipment, and facilities; enters data into notebooks and spreadsheets; keeps records; and performs related duties as required.

Jim Monk - Physical Scientist/Manager; Manages the field program department and interim manager of the internal dosimetry department; makes routine radiation measurements following defined procedures; performs sample and data collection; communicates with the public for scheduling and interpreting results; performs instrument operation and calibration; does data entry and data manipulation; maintains equipment and the laboratory; and provides technical assistance in specialized experiments and developmental projects in internal dosimetry, conducts environmental monitoring. Coordinates with other functional areas within CEMRC to schedule work and meet deliverables deadlines.

Leo Hinojos - Lab Technician: Field Programs; Responsible for collecting soil, drinking water, surface water, sediment and aerosol samples, processing collected samples per procedures, gravimetric analysis of collected samples, operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment, field sampling equipment, and facility services backup.

Adrianne Navarrette - Research Technician: Internal Dosimetry; Performs technical activities associated with conducting direct in-vivo radiobioassays using gamma-spectroscopy counting system; data interpretation and analysis; maintain laboratory and inventory of equipment and supplies; prepares reports and data analysis

Jess Scappaticci - Technician: Internal Dosimetry; Assist in conducting direct in-vivo radiobioassays; maintain laboratory equipment and laboratory; filling of detectors, data entry and filing and briefs visitors.

Punam Thakur, PhD - Research Scientist/Manager; Manages the radiochemistry group at CEMRC. Oversees the QA/QC process within the group to maintain compliance with written Quality Assurance Plan requirements. Assists in sample analysis, instrument repair and maintenance, and method troubleshooting as needed. Conducts method development studies to improve method performance and improve the laboratory's capability to obtain new work and funding. Coordinates with other functional areas within CEMRC to schedule work and meet deliverables deadlines.

David Baker - Associate Research Scientist: Radiochemistry; Serves as the Chemical Hygiene Officer for CEMRC; performs sample preparations and radiation detection of samples in various environmental media; development and modification of laboratory procedures to meet performance criteria of different research project; operation, calibration, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance of radioanalytical counting instruments.

Sally Ballard - Associate Research Scientist: Radiochemistry; Performs sample preparation, data acquisition, analysis, and reduction using specialized instrumental software for different alpha, beta, and gamma counting techniques; operation, calibration, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance of radioanalytical counting instruments; facilitate the transfer of verified count room data into CEMRC LIMS system.
